Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Pedro Gonçalves started the match with the kick off. Amadeu Lopes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ganilhos's Alfredo Andrade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armindo Dantas in the 4th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ganilhos's Tiago Dantas got a free kick in the 4th minute. Mariano Simões fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vasco Pires having to interfere. Jorge Luz's late challenge caught a Ganilhos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jorge Luz helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Baiana FC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Jorge Luz hit a great ball. 12 minutes into the match, Ganilhos's Nuno Pinheiro broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When Cláudio Torres fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Baiana FC's protests and gave Cláudio Torres a yellow card for diving instead. Armindo Dantas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Armindo Dantas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ganilhos's defense didn't have a chance, in the 53rd minute, when Armindo Dantas scored to the left of an out of position Alfredo Andrade, making the score, 2-1. Mariano Simões struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Vasco Pires didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ganilhos. Baiana FC's Vasco Pires played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Simões in the 64th minute of play. Nuno Pinheiro kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Miguel Faria shot from long distance in the 77th minute, but Alfredo Andrade was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. If Amadeu Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luís Coelho hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Armindo Dantas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Andrade having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Simões in the 95th minute of play forced Baiana FC's goalkeeper Vasco Pires to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There was no doubt that Ganilhos were the better team. Ganilhos's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
