When Gabriel Matos came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the SC Bouxinhas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabriel Matos couldn't finish the play. Domingos Moniz came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by SC Bouxinhas's Basílio Coelho. But to his dismay, Basílio Coelho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 26th minute, Basílio Garcia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 35th play minute Artur Coelho came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Joaquim Moura. 1-1. Joaquim Moura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Gonçalves in the 43rd minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Basílio Coelho made a kick off. After a rather tough play, SC Vegia's André Fernandes got a free kick in the 52nd minute. 54 minutes into the game, one of SC Vegia:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. SC Bouxinhas's Joaquim Moura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Trindade in the 58th minute of play. Mariano Barbosa's late challenge caught a SC Vegia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mariano Barbosa helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to SC Bouxinhas getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Mariano Barbosa hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Artur Coelho in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joaquim Moura saved SC Bouxinhas from getting behind. SC Vegia's Domingos Moniz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save SC Vegia from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Basílio Coelho managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Bouxinhas's supporters rose to their feet, but Basílio Coelho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Domingos Moniz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gabriel Matos got free with Domingos Moniz in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 75th minute Basílio Coelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domingos Moniz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
