Funchosa's Rui Henriques proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Funchosa from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Funchosa's Rui Henriques got control of the ball when Emanuel Borges tried to sneak it across the goal line. Carlos Martins took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jacinto Marques. Jacinto Marques dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The Celavisa players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Funchosa were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carlos Martins stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Carlos Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
