Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Armindo Costa made the kick off which started today's match. Rui Esteves charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rui Esteves the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to SC Lagarteira getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Rui Esteves hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in SC Lagarteira's zone, Ricardo Tavares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. António Trindade came out of the goal and Ricardo Tavares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 14th minute there was a penalty for SC Lagarteira. Heitor Morais stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Cândido Moutinho. 0-1. After 16 played minutes SC Lagarteira got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Matias. Américo Lopes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. António Trindade tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Óscar Rodrigues's late challenge caught a SC Lagarteira's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Óscar Rodrigues helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of SC Lagarteira booed when Barosa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Óscar Rodrigues didn't get a good kick on the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Barosa's goal looked a bit too open when Armindo Costa came free, but Cândido Moutinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Rafael Matias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to SC Lagarteira getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Cristiano Borba hit a great ball. António Trindade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Américo Lopes in the 43rd minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Américo Lopes dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of António Trindade, 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Américo Lopes to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Catarino Dias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Heitor Morais struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Cândido Moutinho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Lagarteira. Ricardo Tavares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without António Trindade having to interfere. Rafael Matias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Cândido Moutinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Américo Lopes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Américo Lopes in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck António Trindade prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rafael Matias got free with Cândido Moutinho in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Barosa's Cândido Moutinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armindo Costa in the 77th minute of play. After 82 played minutes Barosa got a freekick which was hit by Óscar Rodrigues. With his leg Cândido Moutinho managed to avoid a goal in the 84thth minute, when SC Lagarteira's Rafael Matias fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Armindo Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cândido Moutinho having to interfere. After 90 played minutes Barosa got a freekick which was hit by Américo Lopes. 94 minutes into the match, Ricardo Tavares had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of António Trindade. SC Lagarteira's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ricardo Tavares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Barosa's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
