Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Paulo Vieira started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Vicente Reis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Vieira in the 7th minute of play. In the 8th minute Tiago Nunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicente Reis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Carvoeira booed when Caruncho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rui Tavares didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 18th minute, Amílcar Brás got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. António Valente struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Nuno Alves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caruncho FC. António Valente recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paulo Vieira's late challenge caught a Caruncho FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulo Vieira helped the player get up and apologised. After 28 played minutes Carvoeira got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Vieira. Paulo Vieira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Reis having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Carvoeira's Tiago Nunes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vicente Reis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Amílcar Brás made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, António Valente made a precise shot to the right of Nuno Alves. Carvoeira's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. 57 minutes into the game, António Valente cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Nuno Alves was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Rui Tavares fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caruncho FC's protests and gave Rui Tavares a yellow card for diving instead. Vicente Reis was out of position in the 68 minute of play, and Paulo Vieira capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Paulo Vieira really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. When Eusébio Paredes fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caruncho FC's protests and gave Eusébio Paredes a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Caruncho FC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Eusébio Paredes hit a great ball. In the 73rd minute Paulo Vieira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicente Reis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute, one of Caruncho FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Caruncho FC. The goalkeeper, Vicente Reis, was totally fooled by Carvoeira's Joel Castro, who 83 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. A hard shot 87 in the game by Paulo Vieira from a close distance when the talented Vicente Reis managed to make a qualified save. Caruncho FC's players were relieved. Amílcar Brás recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Amílcar Brás managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caruncho FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Amílcar Brás was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nuno Alves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
