Lucas Leirias short, quick shot in the 14thth minute got Manuel Assunção to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 18th of the match, Cristóvão Resende tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Manuel Assunção got in the way and made a wonderful save. José Baptista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Ricardo Pinto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If José Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Ribeirinho FC's Bento Esteves got a free kick in the 68th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Joel Faro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gilbarbedo's supporters rose to their feet, but Joel Faro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricardo Pinto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joaquim Moutinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 85th minute, one of Ribeirinho FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ribeirinho FC. 96 minutes into the match, Ribeirinho FC's goalkeeper Ricardo Pinto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joel Faro. If Lucas Leiria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
