When Ribeirinho FC's Lucas Leiria in the 3rd minute got a chance for a shot 3rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Esporao's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Ribeirinho FC booed when SC Esporao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Jesus didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristóvão Resende sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alfredo Guerreiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristóvão Resende in the 15th minute of the match. Lucas Leiria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Guerreiro having to interfere. Ribeirinho FC's Ricardo Pinto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Américo Baptista in the 23rd minute of play. Cristiano Borba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28th minute, Marco Tavares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. SC Esporao's Cristiano Borba got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ricardo Pinto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristiano Borba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristóvão Resende recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. SC Esporao's Marco Tavares got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alfredo Guerreiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Leiria, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. If Lucas Leiria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristiano Borba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Cristóvão Resende made the kick off in the second half. Ribeirinho FC's Cristóvão Resende pulled a muscle in his back after 51 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Viriato Alves fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Esporao's protests and gave Viriato Alves a yellow card for diving instead. SC Esporao's Alfredo Guerreiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save SC Esporao from getting a goal against them. A collision led to SC Esporao getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. João Jesus hit a great ball. 60 minutes into the match, Ribeirinho FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Tavares came free, but Ricardo Pinto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristiano Borba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 64th minute of the match Cristóvão Almeida shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ricardo Pinto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 64th match minute, Ribeirinho FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xavier Anjos to maneuver through the defense. Ricardo Pinto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristiano Borba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marco Tavares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Ricardo Pinto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lucas Leiria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Basílio Barbosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Cristiano Borba came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the SC Esporao fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristiano Borba couldn't finish the play. If Lucas Leiria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
