SC Barbaido's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Carvalhido the free kick. SC Carvalhido's Hélder Nascimento got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to SC Carvalhido getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Mário Carneiro hit a great ball. José Borges sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 24 minutes, José Borges managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Barbaido's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Borges was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Francisco Dias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Borges, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Miguel Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Óscar Mendes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Xavier Dantas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Óscar Mendes having to make a save. SC Barbaido's Óscar Mendes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xavier Dantas in the 33rd minute of play. With a little luck, SC Barbaido's Óscar Mendes got control of the ball when Miguel Machado tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 36 played minutes Xavier Dantas rounded SC Barbaido's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-0. Francisco Dias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Borges, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. If José Borges had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Nuno Barros went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led SC Barbaido's Nuno Barros to fire away a dangerous shot which Francisco Dias despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The supporters of SC Barbaido booed when SC Carvalhido was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Machado didn't get a good kick on the ball. SC Carvalhido's Francisco Dias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Borges in the 61st minute of play. Óscar Mendes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. After 75 minutes, Sebastião Leiria mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Carvalhido and the SC Barbaido players grew even worse after the yellow card. Francisco Dias was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alexandre Pedroso showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-1 in the 76 minute of play. Óscar Mendes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Miguel Machado went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. Óscar Mendes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Machado in the 89th minute of play. When José Vale fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Barbaido's protests and gave José Vale a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of SC Carvalhido booed when SC Barbaido was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Vale didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xavier Dantas in the 91st minute of play forced SC Barbaido's goalkeeper Óscar Mendes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
