Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Gregorios's Jacinto Campos started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Heitor Borba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 22 played minutes Gregorios got a freekick which was hit by Alexandre Silva. 24 minutes into the game, Armindo Faro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gregorios's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cabecinhas FC the free kick. In the 26th minute of the match Álvaro Santarém sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bento Rodrigues skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Figueiredo in the 27th minute of play forced Gregorios's goalkeeper Bento Rodrigues to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Armindo Faro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 29th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nuno Cunha. Cabecinhas FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Bento Rodrigues made an important save on a dangerous shot by Heitor Borba in the 32nd minute. Jorge Figueiredo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bento Rodrigues came out and tried to block the shot, but Jorge Figueiredo slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 43rd minute. Jorge Figueiredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bento Rodrigues having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Jorge Figueiredo made the kick off in the second half. Carlos Abreu hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. 61 minutes into the game, Álvaro Santarém was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. In the 62nd minute, Álvaro Santarém hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Jacinto Campos came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Gregorios fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jacinto Campos couldn't finish the play. Bento Rodrigues showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Figueiredo, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Jacinto Campos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Cunha having to interfere. Gregorios's Bento Rodrigues played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heitor Borba in the 75th minute of play. Paulo Camposs short, quick shot in the 76thth minute got Nuno Cunha to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Bento Rodrigues showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Heitor Borba, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. If Jorge Figueiredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Figueiredo in the 89th minute of play forced Gregorios's goalkeeper Bento Rodrigues to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gregorios's Bento Rodrigues played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Figueiredo in the 92nd minute of play.
