Rui Rodrigues made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. SC Picamilho's Alfredo Rodrigues got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With his leg José Mendes managed to avoid a goal in the 22ndth minute, when Samil FC's Eusébio Alves fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Rui Rodrigues took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandre Machado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vicente Pinho took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for José Mendes. SC Picamilho's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 27th minute of the match, Eusébio Alves got a very nice opportunity to score, but José Mendes was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. António Morais charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed António Morais the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in SC Picamilho fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 37th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 39 minutes, Samil FC's Diamantino Moreira got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of José Mendes. Alexandre Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Rui Rodrigues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Rui Rodrigues showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Rodrigues in the 56th minute of the match. In the 57th match minute, Samil FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardo Tavares to maneuver through the defense. Alexandre Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Rui Rodrigues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 61 minutes into the match, Samil FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Rodrigues came free, but Rui Rodrigues reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61st minute, Alfredo Rodrigues ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rui Rodrigues was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Alfredo Rodrigues received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rui Rodrigues came out and tried to block the shot, but Alfredo Rodrigues slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 65th minute. In the 67th minute, Emílio Fonseca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 75th minute, Gabriel Assunção hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SC Picamilho's António Morais couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 76th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Samil FC. When Alexandre Machado came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the SC Picamilho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alexandre Machado couldn't finish the play. If Alfredo Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st minute, Jorge Paiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 84 minutes into the match, SC Picamilho's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Moniz came free, but José Mendes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jorge Paiva hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. The supporters of SC Picamilho booed when Samil FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Assunção didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gabriel Assunção's late challenge caught a SC Picamilho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gabriel Assunção helped the player get up and apologised.
