In the 4th match minute, SC Tavarede was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Afonso Assis to maneuver through the defense. Tanhel's Joaquim Bessa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Tanhel from getting a goal against them. Cristiano Porto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mário Bessa having to make a save. Cristiano Bessa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mário Bessa having to interfere. Cristiano Porto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mário Bessa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. After 34 minutes of play, Tanhel's Cristiano Porto made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mário Bessa was left in no man's land by his defense there! 39 minutes into the match, SC Tavarede's goal looked a bit too open when Cristiano Bessa came free, but Mário Bessa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, Tanhel's goalkeeper Joaquim Bessa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by João Macedo. In the 45th minute, Heitor Moura hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cristiano Porto made a kick off. SC Tavarede's Mário Bessa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristiano Porto in the 52nd minute of play. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Tavarede's goalkeeper Mário Bessa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 55th minute, Cristiano Porto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tanhel's Cristiano Bessa came free and shot a quick shot against goal 59 minutes in the game, fortunately Mário Bessa had problems saving as it came toward the left post. In the 59th match minute, SC Tavarede was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simão Pacheco to maneuver through the defense. Cristiano Bessa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Mário Bessa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Tanhel getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Mariano Assunção hit a great ball. Cristiano Porto received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mário Bessa came out and tried to block the shot, but Cristiano Porto slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 68th minute. In the 71st minute, David Gomes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. João Macedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mário Bessa made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Cristiano Bessa sent off a good shot on target. In the 77th minute, David Gomes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Simão Pacheco charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Simão Pacheco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Cristiano Porto came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Tanhel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristiano Porto couldn't finish the play. Cristiano Porto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Mário Bessa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The SC Tavarede supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Tanhel's performance. The match ended with a win for Tanhel.
