After 4 minutes, Simão Sá mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Alganhafres and the Armil players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to SC Alganhafres getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Simão Sá hit a great ball. Emanuel Campos's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 5thth minute, Adelino Barbosa skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Bernardo Araújo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Humberto Branco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Adelino Baptista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Armil's goalkeeper Adelino Baptista, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Simão Sá was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 12 minutes had been played. After 13 played minutes SC Alganhafres got a freekick which was hit by Simão Sá. Emanuel Campos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adelino Barbosa having to interfere. Adelino Barbosa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rui Sá's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Humberto Branco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 22nd minute of the match Jorge Dantas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Adelino Baptista skillfully saved the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jorge Lima during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Armil getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Jorge Lima hit a great ball. Emanuel Campos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Adelino Barbosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Armil's Bernardo Araújo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adelino Barbosa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Adelino Barbosa made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Emanuel Campos sent off a good shot on target. When Bernardo Araújo came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Armil fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernardo Araújo couldn't finish the play. Emanuel Campos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Adelino Barbosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Bernardo Araújo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Armil's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernardo Araújo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adelino Barbosa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 47 minutes into the game, Marco Faro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Alganhafres's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Armil the free kick. After 47 played minutes SC Alganhafres got a freekick which was hit by Marco Faro. Bernardo Araújo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adelino Barbosa having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

53 minutes into the match, SC Alganhafres's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Campos came free, but Adelino Barbosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot 54 in the game by Humberto Branco from a close distance when the talented Adelino Baptista managed to make a qualified save. Armil's players were relieved. If Bernardo Araújo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernardo Araújo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adelino Barbosa having to interfere. Adelino Barbosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardo Araújo in the 70th minute of the match. In the 74th minute Emanuel Campos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adelino Barbosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Pedro Macedo came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the SC Alganhafres fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Macedo couldn't finish the play. André Lopes hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Armil fans cheered their team off the field, for while SC Alganhafres had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
