Agudos's Bernardo Andrade proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Agudos from getting a goal against them. 28 minutes into the match, Óscar Moniz dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bernardo Andrade, 1-0. In the 36th minute, Jaime Torres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Óscar Moniz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC Sagolga's Cristiano Porto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquim Moura in the 44th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jorge Delgado was the one to do the kick off. Joaquim Moura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Porto having to interfere. 63 minutes into the match, Pedro Setúbal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bernardo Andrade. Agudos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pedro Setúbal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Óscar Moniz struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Bernardo Andrade didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Sagolga. When Joaquim Paiva fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Agudos's protests and gave Joaquim Paiva a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of SC Sagolga booed when Agudos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquim Paiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 75 minutes, João Neves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Agudos and the SC Sagolga players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 81st minute, Jaime Torres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. SC Sagolga had won after a very even match.
