Carlos Faro made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Duarte Correia sent off a good shot on target. In the 9th minute, Óscar Assis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaspar Dantas in the 10th minute of play forced SC Bente's goalkeeper Vítor Trindade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 11 played minutes SC Bente got a freekick which was hit by José Moniz. Vítor Trindade showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaspar Dantas, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emanuel Moreira during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, SC Bente's Emanuel Moreira got a free kick in the 15th minute. If Duarte Correia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Faro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Resende in the 28th minute of play. In the 41st minute of the match, Duarte Correia got a very nice opportunity to score, but Carlos Faro was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If David Resende had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Bente's goalkeeper Vítor Trindade, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gaspar Dantas to make the kick off. David Resende received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Carlos Faro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75thth minute of the game David Resende who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Alcaide's Carlos Faro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to SC Alcaide getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. André Delgado hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Duarte Correia in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlos Faro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Luís Queirós fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Alcaide's protests and gave Luís Queirós a yellow card for diving instead.
