Amadeu Aleixo made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Jorge Anjos sent off a good shot on target. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Coucoes's Sebastião Soares in the 15th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Amadeu Aleixo was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for SC Anagueis through an amazing save. Filipe Ferro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Alberto Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jorge Anjos couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filipe Ferro in the 43rd minute of play forced Coucoes's goalkeeper Alberto Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sebastião Soares received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Amadeu Aleixo came out and tried to block the shot, but Sebastião Soares slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 48th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Sebastião Soares made the kick off in the second half. Alberto Lima showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusébio Castro, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. If Jorge Anjos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jorge Anjos struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Amadeu Aleixo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Coucoes. André Correia's late challenge caught a Coucoes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. André Correia helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Coucoes booed when SC Anagueis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Correia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alberto Lima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusébio Castro in the 71st minute of play. Amadeu Aleixo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Anjos in the 77th minute of the match. Eusébio Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Alberto Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. During the 88th minute of the match André Correia completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave André Correia a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Coucoes booed when SC Anagueis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Correia didn't get a good kick on the ball. 93 minutes into the match, Coucoes's goalkeeper Alberto Lima had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Filipe Ferro. Filipe Ferro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Lima having to interfere. Coucoes's Alberto Lima proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 98th minute of the match, managed to save Coucoes from getting a goal against them. Coucoes's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
