An unexpected shot in the 9th minute by José Garcia got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Fernando Amaral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Maia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Luís Maia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fernando Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Maia, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vítor Resende in the 21st minute of play forced Devezas FC's goalkeeper Xavier Guarda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Amaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xavier Guarda having to interfere. Devezas FC's Xavier Guarda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Amaro in the 27th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Artur Valente during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 28th minute, Artur Valente hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 29th minute of the match Joel Moniz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Xavier Guarda showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Vítor Resende blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Xavier Guarda having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Amaro in the 32nd minute of play forced Devezas FC's goalkeeper Xavier Guarda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Garcia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 36 minutes, Amadeu Cardoso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jardoeira FC and the Devezas FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. José Garcia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Fernando Amaral made a huge save. 42 minutes into the match, Devezas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vítor Resende came free, but Xavier Guarda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vítor Resende received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Xavier Guarda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rui Henriques during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Devezas FC booed when Jardoeira FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rui Henriques didn't get a good kick on the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vítor Resende made a kick off. When Devezas FC's José Garcia in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Jardoeira FC's goalie prevented a goal. José Garcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jardoeira FC's goalkeeper Fernando Amaral, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Joel Moniz's late challenge caught a Devezas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joel Moniz helped the player get up and apologised. In the 78th minute, Vítor Resende fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Xavier Guarda, passed just outside the right post. 81 minutes into the match, Devezas FC's goalkeeper Xavier Guarda had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by José Amaro. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vítor Resende in the 83rd minute of play forced Devezas FC's goalkeeper Xavier Guarda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Xavier Guarda made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when José Amaro sent off a good shot on target. Miguel Santos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Jardoeira FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Devezas FC.
