Adelino Faro charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adelino Faro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Joinal's Adelino Faro got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Aldeias FC's goalkeeper João Faro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 15 minutes into the match, Fernando Maia dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Armindo Guarda, 1-1. Lourenço Cabral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. João Faro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Lourenço Cabral's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but João Faro was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Artur Mota took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 39th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Armindo Guarda. Joinal's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Viriato Carneiro was shown his second yellow card after 39 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 41st match minute, Joinal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Viriato Carneiro to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gil Garcia was the one to do the kick off. Gil Garcia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armindo Guarda having to interfere. Lourenço Cabral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. João Faro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Gil Garcia put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Armindo Guarda. João Faro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lourenço Cabral showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 86 minute of play. In the 90th match minute, Aldeias FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Coimbra to maneuver through the defense. After 94 minutes of play, Aldeias FC's Gil Garcia made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Armindo Guarda was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the referee blew the final whistle, Aldeias FC could leave the field as winners, despite Joinal having more of the ball for most of the match.
