Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) A collision led to Alfafar getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Vasco Castro hit a great ball. Cândido Valente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lourenço Marques having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Heitor Borges in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alberto Gueifão saved Medroes from getting behind. 18 minutes into the match, Alfafar's Heitor Borges sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alberto Gueifão narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Alfafar's Lourenço Marques got control of the ball when Cândido Valente tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Heitor Borges came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Alfafar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Heitor Borges couldn't finish the play. In the 28th minute, Paulo Alves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 32 minutes into the match, Medroes's goal looked a bit too open when Heitor Borges came free, but Alberto Gueifão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfredo Aleixo hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Alberto Gueifão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heitor Borges in the 38th minute of play. Daniel Cardoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Cândido Valente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Medroes's Daniel Cardoso in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Alfafar's goalie prevented a goal. If Nuno Leão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After a defensive mix-up in Medroes's zone, Heitor Borges stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alberto Gueifão came out of the goal and Heitor Borges tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lourenço Marques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Cardoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. In the 60thth minute of the game Cândido Valente who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Alfafar's Lourenço Marques was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cândido Valente took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lourenço Marques. Lourenço Marques dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. After 67 minutes, Afonso Matos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alfafar and the Medroes players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 68th match minute, Alfafar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Afonso Matos to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Medroes's Oliveira Jesus tried to score from far away in the 69th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Alfafar's Lourenço Marques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cândido Valente in the 70th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lourenço Gaspar during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Lourenço Marques was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 84 minutes into the match, Alfafar's goal looked a bit too open when Cândido Valente came free, but Lourenço Marques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Paulo Alves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Heitor Borges in the 88th minute of play forced Medroes's goalkeeper Alberto Gueifão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Alfafar players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Medroes.
