When the match had been going on for 11 minutes, SC Percinheira's Filipe Veiga got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Marco Amaral. Mário Martins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manuel Amaral struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Fernando Cardoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Novais. Daniel Gueifão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Amaral having to interfere. When Daniel Gueifão came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the SC Percinheira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Gueifão couldn't finish the play. In the 73rdth minute of the game Mário Martins who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Novais's Marco Amaral was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 73 played minutes Novais got a freekick which was hit by José Matos. José Matos hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 76th minute of the match Filipe Veiga sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marco Amaral skillfully saved the ball.
