In the 12th match minute, SC Sines was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Amorim to maneuver through the defense. In the 13th minute, Manuel Ferro fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Vicente Dias, passed just outside the right post. If Manuel Ferro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manuel Ferro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Dias having to interfere. Abel Amorim might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jorge Mota. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abel Amorim ran back to his position shaking his head. Jorge Mota showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Júlio Brás, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Jorge Mota made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Júlio Brás in the 32nd minute of play. Rola's Manuel Ferro got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 42nd play minute Eduardo Matias came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Vicente Dias. 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Júlio Brás made a kick off. SC Sines's Vicente Dias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduardo Matias in the 53rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Eduardo Matias managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rola's supporters rose to their feet, but Eduardo Matias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vicente Dias breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 57 minutes, Eduardo Matias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rola's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eduardo Matias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of SC Sines booed when Rola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Nunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Júlio Brás might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jorge Mota. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Júlio Brás ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 79th minute, Eduardo Matias made a precise shot to the right of Vicente Dias. SC Sines's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. When Cândido Andrade fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rola's protests and gave Cândido Andrade a yellow card for diving instead. In the 83rd match minute, Rola was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cândido Andrade to maneuver through the defense. Vicente Dias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Ferro in the 94th minute of play. When Júlio Brás came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the SC Sines fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Júlio Brás couldn't finish the play. For all the effort they put into the match, the SC Sines players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Rola.
