With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alexandre Vieira in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paulo Cunha saved Brenha FC from getting behind. Diamantino Luz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Cunha having to interfere. After some careless play in the Macieira FC defense, Filipe Esteves kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of António Amaro. The Macieira FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that António Amaro should have stopped the shot. After 11 played minutes Brenha FC got a freekick which was hit by Filipe Esteves. A hard shot 13 in the game by Diamantino Luz from a close distance when the talented Paulo Cunha managed to make a qualified save. Brenha FC's players were relieved. Alexandre Vieira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulo Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandre Vieira in the 18th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Macieira FC's goal looked a bit too open when Diamantino Ramos came free, but António Amaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th match minute, Macieira FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hélder Assis to maneuver through the defense. António Amaro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Filipe Esteves's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Filipe Esteves in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg António Amaro saved Macieira FC from getting behind. If Alexandre Vieira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diamantino Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. António Amaro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filipe Esteves, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alexandre Vieira was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Macieira FC's António Amaro got control of the ball when Filipe Esteves tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Filipe Esteves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Filipe Esteves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without António Amaro having to interfere. Diamantino Ramos kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Brenha FC's Paulo Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Vieira in the 67th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Artur Viana during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Macieira FC booed when Brenha FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artur Viana didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 74th minute, Diamantino Luz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paulo Cunha was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1.
