Fábio Ribeiro's late challenge caught a Beicudo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. When Cândido Lima fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Segadais FC's protests and gave Cândido Lima a yellow card for diving instead. Cândido Lima hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Gaspar Neto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Beicudo's supporters rose to their feet, but Gaspar Neto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abel Lopes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gaspar Neto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Lopes having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gil Miranda during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 21st minute Filipe Cardoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eusébio Morais saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eusébio Morais made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filipe Cardoso in the 25th minute of play. Vasco Moutinho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Eusébio Morais made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Beicudo's Alexandre Barros got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 40th minute, André Sá left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Beicudo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Beicudo's Eusébio Morais played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filipe Cardoso in the 45th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Filipe Cardoso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Segadais FC's Cristiano Alves got a free kick in the 53rd minute. André Sá sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 64 minutes into the match, Segadais FC's goal looked a bit too open when André Sá came free, but Abel Lopes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filipe Cardoso couldn't finish the play. Beicudo's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Segadais FC had won, even though Beicudo had held more of the ball.
