Filipe Vargas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 5 minutes into the match, Filipe Vargas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rui Barbosa. Penso's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Filipe Vargas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. António Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when António Carvalho got free with Jacob Franco in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Adalberto Salazar hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. In the 20th minute Afonso Pinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacob Franco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, SC Borreles's goal looked a bit too open when André Correia came free, but Jacob Franco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Filipe Vargas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 25 played minutes SC Borreles got a freekick which was hit by Adalberto Salazar. Jacob Franco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from António Carvalho went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. If André Correia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 31st minute, Gastão Paixão left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Borreles fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. When André Correia came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Penso fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Correia couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in SC Borreles's zone, André Correia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacob Franco came out of the goal and André Correia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. André Correia in the 42ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jacob Franco, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 48th minute, André Correia fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for André Correia to strike the kick off in the second half. Penso were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after SC Borreles's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Vasco Coimbra took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Hélder Fernandes managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Delfim Gomes's late challenge caught a SC Borreles's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Delfim Gomes helped the player get up and apologised. After 68 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Penso! After 75 played minutes Penso got a freekick which was hit by José Coimbra. Rui Barbosa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gastão Paixão in the 77th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Filipe Vargas managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Borreles's supporters rose to their feet, but Filipe Vargas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rui Barbosa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rui Barbosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filipe Vargas in the 84th minute of the match. Penso's supporters rose to their feet, but António Carvalho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacob Franco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jacob Franco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Correia in the 94th minute of the match. When Penso's André Correia in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Borreles's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Penso booed when SC Borreles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronaldo Pegado didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 97th minute, André Correia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jacob Franco was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. SC Borreles's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
