Tomás Carneiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lúcio Faro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 5th minute, João Coimbra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 14 minutes, Marco Rodrigues managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cocorinho FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marco Rodrigues was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 16 minutes of play, Cocorinho FC's Hélder Figueiredo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tomás Carneiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 21st minute, Paulo Pedroso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 26 minutes into the match, Paulo Pedroso dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sérgio Lima, 1-1. In the 30th match minute, Cocorinho FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Catarino Jesus to maneuver through the defense. Paulo Pedroso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sérgio Lima having to interfere. Cocorinho FC were awarded a corner in the 65th minute after Aveleda's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cristiano Torres took the corner. Cocorinho FC's Cristiano Torres was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Tomás Carneiro in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lúcio Faro got free with Tomás Carneiro in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tomás Carneiro made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Pedro Oliveira sent off a good shot on target. Aveleda walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
