The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alcides Loureiro to make the kick off. 5-0 became the score in the 55th minute when Francisco Valido elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind CONLELAS FC's goalkeeper Zacarias Leitão, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Zacarias Leitão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Valido, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cassiano Jordão during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. CONLELAS FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Herberto Frois was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Francisco Valido put it in 8-0 from a short distance just to the right of Zacarias Leitão. Alcides Loureiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jacob Bessa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. CONLELAS FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alcides Loureiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Flávio Campelo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
