Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Carlos Pires kicked off to start the match. In the 7th minute, Jorge Leal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 9 minutes had been played when some careless play by Nogueirinha's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Estevão Viana was slow to take the kick. During this time Codecal's players had a chance to rest. Estevão Viana made a great header on Codecal's corner, it was just that Nogueirinha's André Costa managed to reach the ball for a save. After a rather tough play, Codecal's Domingos Soveral got a free kick in the 13th minute. Miguel Vale's late challenge caught a Codecal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Miguel Vale helped the player get up and apologised. André Costa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristiano Azeredo in the 17th minute of the match. The supporters of Codecal booed when Nogueirinha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Vale didn't get a good kick on the ball. Estevão Viana was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 20th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 21 played minutes Nogueirinha got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Leal. With a little luck, Nogueirinha's André Costa got control of the ball when Claudemiro Cruz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Elias Festas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Leal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Pires in the 31st minute of play forced Codecal's goalkeeper Elias Festas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Carlos Pires's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Elias Festas was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henrique Valente in the 45th minute of play forced Codecal's goalkeeper Elias Festas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elias Festas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henrique Valente in the 47th minute of the match. Carlos Pires received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Elias Festas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
55 minutes into the match, Nogueirinha's goal looked a bit too open when Claudemiro Cruz came free, but André Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. André Costa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristiano Azeredo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Claudemiro Cruz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Codecal's Alcino Rebelo got a free kick in the 64th minute. Nogueirinha's Carlos Pires got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Nogueirinha booed when Codecal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domingos Soveral didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 73 minutes of play, Nogueirinha's Carlos Pires made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elias Festas was left in no man's land by his defense there! 76 minutes into the game, Carlos Bessa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nogueirinha's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Codecal the free kick. Carlos Bessa hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. If Carlos Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elias Festas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Pires, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 84 minutes of play Nogueirinha's Miguel Vale was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 85th match minute, Nogueirinha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Vale to maneuver through the defense. Cristiano Azeredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Nogueirinha's André Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudemiro Cruz in the 89th minute of play. After having played for 91 minutes, Cristiano Azeredo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Codecal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristiano Azeredo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Henrique Valente came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Nogueirinha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Henrique Valente couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Cristiano Azeredo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Codecal's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristiano Azeredo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. André Costa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Nogueirinha getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Carlos Bessa hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Nogueirinha's zone, Cristiano Azeredo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. André Costa came out of the goal and Cristiano Azeredo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle sounded Nogueirinha left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Codecal.
