Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Jaime Borges made the kick off which started today's match. 2 minutes into the game, Alfredo Antunes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Baroso FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Carmoes the free kick. After a rather tough play, Baroso FC's Alfredo Antunes got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Jaime Borges recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bento Macedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Abel Delgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Borges in the 20th minute of the match. If Jaime Borges had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Paulo Costa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bento Macedo was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Nuno Alves's late challenge caught a Carmoes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nuno Alves helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Baroso FC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Nuno Alves hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Baroso FC defense, Paulo Costa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bento Macedo. The Baroso FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bento Macedo should have stopped the shot. In the 36th minute Paulo Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bento Macedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jaime Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Abel Delgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Carmoes were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paulo Costa made a kick off. Carmoes's Paulo Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 55th match minute, Baroso FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nuno Alves to maneuver through the defense. Jaime Borges sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 62 minutes, Jaime Borges managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Baroso FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jaime Borges was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daniel Moutinho charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Daniel Moutinho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Carmoes getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Daniel Moutinho hit a great ball. Jaime Borges sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 81 played minutes Carmoes got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Moutinho. Bento Macedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92nd minute, Paulo Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Carmoes's goalkeeper Abel Delgado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 96th minute, Catarino Reis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Manuel Neves was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 97th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal.
