With a couple of smart ball manuevers Moises Salvatore in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nuno Moura saved Oia FC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moises Salvatore in the 16th minute of play forced Oia FC's goalkeeper Nuno Moura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Afonso Vale got free with Jorge Monteiro in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With his leg Jorge Monteiro managed to avoid a goal in the 19thth minute, when Oia FC's Vítor Silva fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Moises Salvatore blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nuno Moura having to make a save. Jorge Monteiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandre Guarda in the 23rd minute of play. Jorge Tavares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Nuno Moura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vítor Silva blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jorge Monteiro having to make a save. After the first half Caxaria FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Jorge Monteiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandre Guarda, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 82nd minute, Moises Salvatore made a precise shot to the right of Nuno Moura. Oia FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Caxaria FC's Ricardo Fernandes was substituted for Moises Salvatore. Caxaria FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
