Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gonçalo Pires started the match with the kick off. If Gonçalo Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jorge Freitas's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 6thth minute, Jesualdo Viana skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Tarcísio Valverde fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Nogueira having to interfere. Tiago Parente hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 17th minute, Jorge Freitas fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Jesualdo Viana, passed just outside the right post. SC Avarenta's Jorge Freitas got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mauro Correia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Gustavo Nogueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gonçalo Pires fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jesualdo Viana having to interfere. Gustavo Nogueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauro Correia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th minute, Gonçalo Pires got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mauro Correia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Gustavo Nogueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mauro Correia to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, SC Babe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herberto Bessa to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jorge Freitas in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jesualdo Viana saved SC Babe from getting behind. The supporters of SC Avarenta booed when SC Babe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Belchior Aleixo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, SC Babe's Tiago Parente got a free kick in the 64th minute. Delfim Teixeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 77 minutes into the game, Gonçalo Pires cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Jesualdo Viana was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tarcísio Valverde fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Nogueira having to interfere. When Álvaro Martins fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Avarenta's protests and gave Álvaro Martins a yellow card for diving instead. Thanks to some nice moves Tarcísio Valverde could shoot a difficult shot in the 95th minute, which Gustavo Nogueira however easily saved by the left post. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
