Henrique Fonseca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandre Matos, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Alexandre Matos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Henrique Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristiano Araújo in the 47th minute of play forced Inter Anizade's goalkeeper Tiago Brito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alexandre Matos to strike the kick off in the second half. Henrique Fonseca made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when André Machado sent off a good shot on target. After 55 minutes Queiriga FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Lúcio Gonçalves who took care of the corner kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by António Bessa during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 65th match minute, Inter Anizade was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by António Bessa to maneuver through the defense. Inter Anizade's Tiago Brito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Lima in the 66th minute of play. Carlos Borges kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute, Arne De Worteler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 76th minute Francisco Lima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiago Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 80th minute, Francisco Lima ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tiago Brito was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Alexandre Matos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henrique Fonseca having to interfere. The supporters of Queiriga FC booed when Inter Anizade was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arne De Worteler didn't get a good kick on the ball.
