Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Francisco Lima ran back to his position shaking his head. A very good chance. 16 minutes into the match, Bordeiro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristiano Araújo came free, but Joaquim Macedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joaquim Macedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Araújo in the 19th minute of play. 21 minutes into the game, Queiriga FC's Francisco Lima nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joaquim Macedo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Joaquim Macedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristiano Araújo in the 28th minute of the match. If Francisco Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristiano Araújo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Joaquim Macedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristiano Araújo in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joaquim Macedo saved Bordeiro FC from getting behind. After 41 played minutes Bordeiro FC got a freekick which was hit by Xavier Borges. After a rather tough play, Bordeiro FC's Gustavo Matos got a free kick in the 44th minute. In the 46th minute, Bordeiro FC's Óscar Rocha ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Henrique Fonseca. Henrique Fonseca yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rogério Lima made a kick off. In the 53rd minute Óscar Rocha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henrique Fonseca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 58 played minutes Queiriga FC got a freekick which was hit by Cristiano Araújo. Rogério Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Francisco Lima who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 66thth minute tested the skills of Joaquim Macedo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Bordeiro FC's Joaquim Macedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristiano Araújo in the 67th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Francisco Lima managed to get in a good position for a shot. Queiriga FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Francisco Lima was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquim Macedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 81st minute Gustavo Matos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henrique Fonseca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Henrique Fonseca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rogério Lima in the 83rd minute of the match.
