The crowd rose to their feet as Covela's Delfim Ribeiro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dércio Portela. That made the score 2-0 after 16 minutes of play. Dércio Portela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Moura in the 19th minute of the match. When Cacos FC's Valdemar Malafaia in 22 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Albertino Figueiredo guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. After having played for 23 minutes, Augusto Martins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cacos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Augusto Martins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dércio Portela stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Manuel Moura's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. 28 minutes into the match, Cacos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Moura came free, but Dércio Portela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Manuel Moura kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dércio Portela. Cacos FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Manuel Moura was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. The supporters of Covela booed when Cacos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amadeu Nascimento didn't get a good kick on the ball. Albertino Figueiredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Valdemar Malafaia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cacos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Valdemar Malafaia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Albertino Figueiredo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cacos FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
