André Patrício fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sílvio Caneira having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Lisbonense Clube's Joaquim Lages got a free kick in the 13th minute. After 18 minutes, Sílvio Neves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lisbonense Clube and the SC Mansores players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ricardo Madruga's late challenge caught a Lisbonense Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
