The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by David Portela during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 7th minute, David Portela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joaquim Barbosa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jorge Portela having to make a save. João Abreu's late challenge caught a Metro Evalution F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. João Abreu helped the player get up and apologised. Gralhas FC's Jorge Portela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viriato Fonseca in the 17th minute of play. When Metro Evalution F.C's Joaquim Barbosa, in the 19th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Metro Evalution F.C. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gervásio Vilaça got free with Raul Andrade in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joaquim Barbosa in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jorge Portela saved Gralhas FC from getting behind. The supporters of Metro Evalution F.C booed when Gralhas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Abreu didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Gralhas FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Caio Carreira hit a great ball. Jorge Portela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viriato Fonseca, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 29th minute of the game. One of Gralhas FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Metro Evalution F.C:s goal. In the 30th minute there was a penalty for Metro Evalution F.C. Viriato Fonseca stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jorge Portela. 1-1. When Metro Evalution F.C's Joaquim Barbosa in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gralhas FC's goalie prevented a goal. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell David Portela to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viriato Fonseca in the 53rd minute of play forced Gralhas FC's goalkeeper Jorge Portela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jorge Portela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Barbosa in the 57th minute of the match. Joaquim Barbosa's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 61stth minute, Jorge Portela skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Viriato Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Jorge Portela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gralhas FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 67th minute, when Alexandre Antunes scored to the left of an out of position Jorge Portela, making the score, 1-3. 74 minutes into the game, Valter Pires was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gralhas FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Metro Evalution F.C the free kick. A hard shot 76 in the game by Joaquim Barbosa from a close distance when the talented Jorge Portela managed to make a qualified save. Gralhas FC's players were relieved. A collision led to Gralhas FC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Plácido Pinto hit a great ball. After 78 played minutes Gralhas FC got a freekick which was hit by David Portela. Joaquim Barbosa in the 86thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jorge Portela, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Pedro Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Metro Evalution F.C's goalkeeper Raul Andrade, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Joaquim Barbosa who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 96thth minute tested the skills of Jorge Portela when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Jorge Portela came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Metro Evalution F.C's Viriato Fonseca. But to his dismay, Viriato Fonseca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. The Gralhas FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Metro Evalution F.C were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
