Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) 5 minutes into the match, Rafael Gonçalves had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joaquim Azevedo. Faioes FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rafael Gonçalves was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The supporters of Faioes FC booed when Sandelgas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Duarte Mendes didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Rafael Gonçalves came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Sandelgas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafael Gonçalves couldn't finish the play. Joaquim Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Gonçalves in the 18th minute of the match. David Fonseca made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vasco Ferro in the 29th minute. David Trindade charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed David Trindade the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. David Trindade hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Miranda in the 35th minute of play forced Faioes FC's goalkeeper Joaquim Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Albertino Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Faioes FC's zone, Jorge Miranda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquim Azevedo came out of the goal and Jorge Miranda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Albertino Moreira made a kick off. Joaquim Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Gonçalves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 61 played minutes Sandelgas FC got a freekick which was hit by Filipe Nascimento. Albertino Moreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Fonseca having to interfere. Albertino Moreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. David Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vasco Ferro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without David Fonseca having to make a save. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Sandelgas FC's goalkeeper David Fonseca, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bento Viana's late challenge caught a Faioes FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bento Viana helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Sandelgas FC's Bento Viana got a free kick in the 86th minute. After 88 played minutes, Faioes FC's David Trindade shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper David Fonseca came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Faioes FC reached it. When Faioes FC's Albertino Moreira in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sandelgas FC's goalie prevented a goal. 92 minutes into the game, Rafael Gonçalves recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Joaquim Azevedo. Rafael Gonçalves showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. The crowd rose to their feet as Sandelgas FC's Rafael Gonçalves slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Joaquim Azevedo. That made the score 0-3 after 98 minutes of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Sandelgas FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
