After some careless play in the Veladas FC defense, Raul Quintela kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Micael Brandão. The Veladas FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Micael Brandão should have stopped the shot. Micael Brandão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomé Vilar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th of the match, Tomé Vilar tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Micael Brandão got in the way and made a wonderful save. Nicolas Lencastre scored 2-0 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Micael Brandão, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 30 played minutes Veladas FC got a freekick which was hit by Severino Soeiro. Baltasar Patrício struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Micael Brandão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ceissa. Tomé Vilar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Micael Brandão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. Micael Brandão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomé Vilar in the 35th minute of play. If Raul Quintela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 42 minutes of play, Ceissa's Nicolas Lencastre made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Micael Brandão was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomé Vilar in the 45th minute of play forced Veladas FC's goalkeeper Micael Brandão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raul Quintela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Micael Brandão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lucílio Valadares made a kick off. Tiago Raminhos's late challenge caught a Ceissa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tiago Raminhos helped the player get up and apologised. Tomé Vilar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Micael Brandão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Micael Brandão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolas Lencastre, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. After 66 minutes, Saúl Baía mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Veladas FC and the Ceissa players grew even worse after the yellow card. Micael Brandão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raul Quintela in the 69th minute of the match. Veladas FC's Micael Brandão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomé Vilar in the 70th minute of play. Micael Brandão came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Ceissa's Raul Quintela. But to his dismay, Raul Quintela quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Ceissa's Alexandre Cerqueira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Ceissa from getting a goal against them.
