Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) REDSHOES TEAM's Emanuel Portugal started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 3 minutes, Leonardo Vaz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. REDSHOES TEAM's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonardo Vaz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Israel Cruz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Martinho Salgueiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Leonardo Vaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emanuel Portugal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 23 minutes into the match, REDSHOES TEAM's goal looked a bit too open when Israel Cruz came free, but Martinho Salgueiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th minute, Eliseu Quintas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. REDSHOES TEAM's Martinho Salgueiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Israel Cruz in the 29th minute of play. In the 31st minute, Cesário Veríssimo sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and REDSHOES TEAM's Martinho Salgueiro didn't even have to move. Cassiano Meireles hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. When Israel Cruz came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the SC Berrega fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Israel Cruz couldn't finish the play. In the 41st minute of the match Cesário Veríssimo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Martinho Salgueiro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Israel Cruz made a kick off. Martinho Salgueiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Israel Cruz in the 54th minute of play. If Israel Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Israel Cruz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 64 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Emanuel Portugal sped through SC Berrega's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sandro Brites. When Cesário Veríssimo fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Berrega's protests and gave Cesário Veríssimo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 73rd minute, one of SC Berrega:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SC Berrega. The goalkeeper, Sandro Brites, was totally fooled by REDSHOES TEAM's Lúcio Campelo, who 76 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 80th minute of the match Cesário Veríssimo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Martinho Salgueiro skillfully saved the ball. Sérgio Gueifão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martinho Salgueiro having to interfere. Israel Cruz struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Martinho Salgueiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Berrega. After a defensive mix-up in REDSHOES TEAM's zone, Sérgio Gueifão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martinho Salgueiro came out of the goal and Sérgio Gueifão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. REDSHOES TEAM's Martinho Salgueiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Israel Cruz in the 87th minute of play. 90 minutes into the match, SC Berrega's Sérgio Gueifão sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Martinho Salgueiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cassiano Meireles hit a great freekick 99 minutes into the match. Martinho Salgueiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Israel Cruz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The SC Berrega manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing REDSHOES TEAM to win.
