Borbela's Miguel Sousa got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. PARADISO FC were furious when Raimundo Vaz was red carded, 13 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in PARADISO FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 12th minute. Penalty! Miguel Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Miguel Sousa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Albérico Moita having to make a save. 22 minutes into the match, Borbela's goal looked a bit too open when Frederico Campelo came free, but Lucas Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Borbela's Fernando Guarda slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Albérico Moita. That made the score 2-0 after 26 minutes of play. Albérico Moita made an important save on a dangerous shot by Miguel Sousa in the 31st minute. In the 33rd minute, Borbela's Miguel Sousa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Albérico Moita. Albérico Moita yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. In the 38th minute, Fernando Guarda made a precise shot to the right of Albérico Moita. PARADISO FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Fernando Guarda was extremely unlucky when he, in the 42nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When Frederico Campelo fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored PARADISO FC's protests and gave Frederico Campelo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 45th minute, Frederico Campelo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Albérico Moita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernando Guarda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fernando Guarda stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
