Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Arvore FC's Afonso Lucena started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Rui Graça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 9th minute Cândido Monteiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nivaldo Brochado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When SC Pedraido's Cândido Monteiro in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Nivaldo Brochado made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Bernardo Silva sent off a good shot on target. In the 23rd minute, Rui Trindade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rafael Ribeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afonso Lucena in the 24th minute of play. SC Pedraido's Rafael Ribeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso Lucena in the 25th minute of play. Rafael Ribeiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rui Graça went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 35th minute, José Morais got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Bernardo Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rui Graça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The SC Pedraido players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Arvore FC were winning 0-1.

In the 50th minute, José Morais hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Cândido Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Afonso Lucena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. Nivaldo Brochado was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cândido Monteiro in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nivaldo Brochado saved Arvore FC from getting behind. After having played for 74 minutes, Cândido Monteiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Pedraido's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cândido Monteiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 80th minute Cândido Monteiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nivaldo Brochado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cândido Monteiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Nivaldo Brochado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arvore FC's Nivaldo Brochado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cândido Monteiro in the 90th minute of play. Nivaldo Brochado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Silva in the 95th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Arvore FC's Paulo Ferro got a free kick in the 96th minute. Cândido Monteiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
