Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. When Vicente Cruz came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the SC Mendalvo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vicente Cruz couldn't finish the play. Vicente Cruz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vítor Barros in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Laércio Carneiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 14 played minutes joint F.C got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo Coimbra. After 24 played minutes, SC Mendalvo's Miguel Matias shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Laércio Carneiro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SC Mendalvo reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by António Salazar in the 27th minute of play forced SC Mendalvo's goalkeeper Eusébio Neto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Laércio Carneiro was a little too slow when Vítor Barros got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 35th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 39th minute, one of joint F.C:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for joint F.C. The goalkeeper, Laércio Carneiro, was totally fooled by SC Mendalvo's Heitor Neves, who 41 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Vicente Cruz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Laércio Carneiro made a huge save. Rodrigo Coimbra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vítor Barros stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Vítor Barros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laércio Carneiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. But to his dismay, Vicente Cruz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Vítor Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in joint F.C's zone, Vítor Barros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Laércio Carneiro came out of the goal and Vítor Barros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
