In the 22nd minute Emanuel Teixeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Américo Andrade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Domingos Aleixo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 29th match minute, SC Quintandona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amílcar Campos to maneuver through the defense. When Basílio Nogueira fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Freixo's protests and gave Basílio Nogueira a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to SC Freixo getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Basílio Nogueira hit a great ball. In the 34th minute of the match Afonso Silva shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Américo Andrade showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Valente in the 35th minute of play forced SC Freixo's goalkeeper Américo Andrade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Domingos Aleixo struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Cristiano Henriques didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Freixo. In the 39th minute, Carlos Assunção ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristiano Henriques was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Américo Andrade made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Amílcar Campos sent off a good shot on target. Américo Andrade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Valente in the 44th minute of the match. In the 47th minute, SC Quintandona's João Valente ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Américo Andrade. Américo Andrade yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell João Valente to make the kick off. If Domingos Aleixo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Américo Andrade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Valente in the 58th minute of play. Cristiano Henriques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domingos Aleixo in the 59th minute of play. 64 minutes into the game, one of SC Freixo:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After 82nd play minutes Emanuel Paredes shot 3-1, a short shot which went by Américo Andrade and just under the crossbar into goal. After a rather tough play, SC Freixo's Cândido Setúbal got a free kick in the 94th minute. In the 95th minute of the match Afonso Silva sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Américo Andrade skillfully saved the ball. In the 100th minute João Valente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Américo Andrade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SC Quintandona's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
