Paulo Vale was out of position in the 11 minute of play, and Murilo Pedroso capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Murilo Pedroso really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After 25 minutes, Juvenal Gaspar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Outeiros and the Baioes players grew even worse after the yellow card. Juvenal Gaspar hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juvenal Gaspar in the 34th minute of play forced Baioes's goalkeeper Edgar Trigueiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julião Carmo struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Edgar Trigueiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Outeiros. In the 46th minute Filipe Amorim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Vale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Julião Carmo was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Outeiros getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Paulo Vidigal hit a great ball. Paulo Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nivaldo Barros in the 57th minute of the match. In the 60th minute, one of Outeiros:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Outeiros. The referee gave Baioes a penalty, 62 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Amado Infante, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Outeiros's Paulo Vale. 2-0. After 65 played minutes Outeiros got a freekick which was hit by Mateus Regalado. Paulo Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nivaldo Barros in the 66th minute of the match. When Filipe Amorim fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Baioes's protests and gave Filipe Amorim a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Outeiros booed when Baioes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filipe Amorim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Juvenal Gaspar got his second yellow card in the match during the 71st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Juvenal Gaspar kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Heitor Lages sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Heitor Lages's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paulo Vale read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Heitor Lages in the 79th minute of play forced Outeiros's goalkeeper Paulo Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edgar Trigueiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julião Carmo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Romão Campelo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Trigueiro having to interfere. Julião Carmo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Edgar Trigueiro came out and tried to block the shot, but Julião Carmo slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 87th minute. After 91 minutes, Carlos Sardinha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Outeiros and the Baioes players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 91st minute, Carlos Sardinha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Julião Carmo came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Outeiros fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julião Carmo couldn't finish the play. Edgar Trigueiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Julião Carmo went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
