Paulo Vale was a little too slow when Bernardo Saraiva got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 5th minute. The score was now 1-0. 9 minutes into the match, Futebol Clube Do Monte's goal looked a bit too open when Mateus Regalado came free, but Flávio Aragão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 10th match minute, Futebol Clube Do Monte was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto Padilha to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Juvenal Gaspar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Outeiros's supporters rose to their feet, but Juvenal Gaspar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Flávio Aragão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Evandro Veloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Paulo Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Outeiros's zone, Bernardo Saraiva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo Vale came out of the goal and Bernardo Saraiva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Juvenal Gaspar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flávio Aragão having to interfere. Julião Carmo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th minute, Lucas Mascarenhas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Julião Carmo made a kick off. Bernardo Saraiva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 56 played minutes Outeiros got a freekick which was hit by Mateus Regalado. Mateus Regalado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flávio Aragão having to interfere. Roberto Padilha charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Roberto Padilha the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Futebol Clube Do Monte getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Roberto Padilha hit a great ball. Juvenal Gaspar's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 63rdth minute, Flávio Aragão skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Futebol Clube Do Monte's Flávio Aragão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Futebol Clube Do Monte from getting a goal against them. Juvenal Gaspar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Futebol Clube Do Monte's Flávio Aragão got control of the ball when Juvenal Gaspar tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Futebol Clube Do Monte's Catarino Casado got a free kick in the 75th minute. Outeiros's Julião Carmo got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Juvenal Gaspar spun around in front of the goal 80 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Futebol Clube Do Monte's goal. In the 81st minute Julião Carmo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flávio Aragão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 83 minutes into the game, Lucas Mascarenhas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Outeiros's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Futebol Clube Do Monte the free kick. The supporters of Futebol Clube Do Monte booed when Outeiros was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucas Mascarenhas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Evandro Veloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Saraiva in the 87th minute of play forced Outeiros's goalkeeper Paulo Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Evandro Veloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Vale having to interfere. In the 91st minute, Bernardo Saraiva left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Futebol Clube Do Monte fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the Outeiros players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Futebol Clube Do Monte.
