Rodolfo Campos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fábio Cunha, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. 10 minutes into the match, SC Terrugem's Américo Ribeiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rodolfo Campos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 10th minute, Éder Varela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 13 minutes had been played when some careless play by Brito FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Manuel Assis was slow to take the kick. During this time SC Terrugem's players had a chance to rest. Fábio Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodolfo Campos having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Éder Varela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 27th minute of the match Manuel Assis sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rodolfo Campos skillfully saved the ball. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Terrugem's goalkeeper Afonso Ribeiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 30 played minutes, SC Terrugem's Vasco Macedo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rodolfo Campos came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SC Terrugem reached it. If Fábio Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The SC Terrugem fans' excitement grew in the 36th match minute when SC Terrugem's Américo Ribeiro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Rodolfo Campos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fábio Cunha in the 48th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alexandre Nogueira to strike the kick off in the second half. Américo Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 63 played minutes Brito FC got a freekick which was hit by Alexandrino Soveral. Fábio Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Rodolfo Campos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SC Terrugem's Américo Ribeiro got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Éder Varela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Afonso Ribeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Fábio Cunha came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the SC Terrugem fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fábio Cunha couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Américo Ribeiro got free with Rodolfo Campos in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Américo Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
