Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Emílio Cruz started the match with the kick off. If Abel Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Hugo Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Canada FC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Óscar Leão hit a great ball. Tomás Gaspar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Amaral in the 12th minute of the match. When Raul Morais fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lusitano's protests and gave Raul Morais a yellow card for diving instead. Raul Morais hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. 15 minutes into the match, Lusitano's goal looked a bit too open when Emílio Cruz came free, but Tomás Gaspar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Fernando Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomás Gaspar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Amaral in the 22nd minute of the match. Lusitano's Tomás Gaspar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Óscar Leão in the 23rd minute of play. In the 26th minute, Caetano Baiano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nuno Araújo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. With a little luck, Canada FC's Nuno Araújo got control of the ball when Abel Melo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Caetano Baiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Canada FC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Paulo Rocha hit a great ball. Tomás Gaspar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernando Amaral, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Caetano Baiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Araújo having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Caetano Baiano to strike the kick off in the second half. After 59 played minutes Lusitano got a freekick which was hit by Raul Morais. With a little luck, Lusitano's Tomás Gaspar got control of the ball when Fernando Amaral tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tomás Gaspar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emílio Cruz, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Caetano Baiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 71st minute, Caetano Baiano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nuno Araújo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caetano Baiano in the 73rd minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, Caetano Baiano notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Canada FC's Nuno Araújo. Nuno Araújo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Caetano Baiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Araújo having to interfere. Tomás Gaspar made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Fernando Amaral sent off a good shot on target. Abel Melo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tomás Gaspar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emílio Cruz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 90 minutes of play, Lusitano's Caetano Baiano made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nuno Araújo was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 94th minute, André Coimbra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Canada FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
