Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Caetano Baiano got the match started through his kick off. The supporters of Casenho booed when Lusitano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Lisboa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vítor Machado was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 4th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 7 minutes into the match, Lusitano's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Miranda came free, but Tomás Gaspar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lúcio Lopes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Tomás Gaspar made a huge save. Carlos Miranda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Tomás Gaspar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. David Leão's late challenge caught a Casenho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. David Leão helped the player get up and apologised. David Leão kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Heitor Anjos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hugo Almeida went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Abel Melo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Heitor Anjos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abel Melo in the 26th minute of the match. When Caetano Baiano came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Lusitano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Caetano Baiano couldn't finish the play. Casenho's Heitor Anjos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel Melo in the 41st minute of play. After 43 played minutes Lusitano got a freekick which was hit by David Leão. After the first half Lusitano were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carlos Miranda to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Casenho's Carlos Miranda nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tomás Gaspar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Jaime Alves hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Tomás Gaspar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lúcio Lopes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th minute, Albertino Sá hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomás Gaspar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime Alves, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abel Melo got free with Heitor Anjos in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Caetano Baiano during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Carlos Miranda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomás Gaspar having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Antunes in the 67th minute of play forced Lusitano's goalkeeper Tomás Gaspar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Albertino Sá charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Albertino Sá the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 74 minutes into the match, Lusitano's goal looked a bit too open when Lúcio Lopes came free, but Tomás Gaspar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomás Gaspar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lúcio Lopes in the 81st minute of play. The supporters of Casenho booed when Lusitano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Assunção didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lúcio Lopes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomás Gaspar having to interfere. In the 96th minute, Artur Delgado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vítor Machado succeeded in the game's 97th minute to get real power on a long shot . Lusitano's Tomás Gaspar hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 4-2! Lusitano's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
