Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Silvano Baía kicked off to start the match. When the match clock showed 4 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Basílio Trindade sped through Martir's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Inácio Graça. In the 6th match minute, Martir was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Micael Miguéis to maneuver through the defense. Augusto Martins hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Amílcar Esteves hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 38th match minute, Martir was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flávio Patrício to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vítor Costa to make the kick off. Lúcio Coelho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvano Baía, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. When Flávio Patrício came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Martir fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Flávio Patrício couldn't finish the play. When Delfim Garcia fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Paradanca's protests and gave Delfim Garcia a yellow card for diving instead. In the 85th minute, Delfim Garcia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 92nd minute Vítor Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inácio Graça saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
