Cristóvão Paredes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 3rdth minute tested the skills of Carlos Simões when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 7thth minute of the game Alexandre Esteves who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Giestosa's Rui Resende was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pedro Fonseca during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Carlos Simões showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernando Moreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute.
