Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jaime Veiga took the kick off in the first half of the match. Marco Caeiro hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Pedro Torres managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rosmaninhal's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Torres was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Egídio Arruda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 6thth minute of the game Jaime Veiga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but S L BENFICA's Egídio Arruda was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 8th minute Jarbas Estrada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hélder Lisboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emanuel Semedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Hélder Lisboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 12 minutes into the game, Jaime Veiga recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Egídio Arruda. Jaime Veiga showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. After some careless play in the S L BENFICA defense, Pedro Torres kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Egídio Arruda. The S L BENFICA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Egídio Arruda should have stopped the shot. Through an outstanding action, after 19 minutes, Egídio Arruda successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Pedro Torres might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Egídio Arruda. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pedro Torres ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Rosmaninhal getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Sandro Antunes hit a great ball. After 25 played minutes, S L BENFICA's Emílio Sanches shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hélder Lisboa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in S L BENFICA reached it. 27 minutes into the match, Rosmaninhal's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Semedo came free, but Hélder Lisboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedro Torres could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Egídio Arruda made a huge save. The supporters of Rosmaninhal booed when S L BENFICA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Graciano Torcato didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Semedo in the 32nd minute of play forced Rosmaninhal's goalkeeper Hélder Lisboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Egídio Arruda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Veiga in the 45th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

If Jarbas Estrada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. S L BENFICA's Emanuel Semedo got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Graciano Torcato during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Rosmaninhal booed when S L BENFICA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emílio Sanches didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 66th minute of the match Jorge Setúbal shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Egídio Arruda showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 68th minute, Gaspar Melo made a precise shot to the right of Egídio Arruda. S L BENFICA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Egídio Arruda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Veiga in the 73rd minute of play. A hard shot 76 in the game by Emanuel Semedo from a close distance when the talented Hélder Lisboa managed to make a qualified save. Rosmaninhal's players were relieved. 76 minutes into the game, Carlos Lopes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rosmaninhal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave S L BENFICA the free kick. After 76 played minutes Rosmaninhal got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Lopes. 78 minutes into the match, Jaime Veiga notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of S L BENFICA's Egídio Arruda. Egídio Arruda was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Pedro Torres took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Egídio Arruda. Egídio Arruda dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Jaime Veiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the S L BENFICA players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Rosmaninhal.
