Sandro Azenha made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Gonçalo Amaro hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Bernardo Lousada's shot from long distance in the 17th minute was not bad at all, but Antelas FC's Manuel Travassos knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. After 29 played minutes Antelas FC got a freekick which was hit by Gonçalo Amaro. Manuel Travassos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eurico Sampaio in the 33rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nuno Soveral during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 35th minute, Nuno Soveral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gonçalo Sabrosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Gonçalo Sabrosa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Antelas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gonçalo Sabrosa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sandro Azenha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Normando Távora sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nuno Soveral hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After the first half Antelas FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gualter Moniz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eurico Sampaio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Eurico Sampaio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eurico Sampaio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Travassos having to interfere. If Gonçalo Sabrosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 91 played minutes FENIX FC got a freekick which was hit by Inácio Matias. Octávio Carvalhal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Sandro Azenha made a huge save. After a rather tough play, FENIX FC's Augusto Coelho got a free kick in the 98th minute. The Antelas FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
